Einladung der Jusos Osnabrück-Stadt zur Onlineveranstaltung

In unserer Pressemitteilung vom 16. Dezember 2020 forderten wir bereits: Keine Deals solange Jürgen Lindhorst im Amt ist – keine Geschäfte mit Unterstützern von Faschist*innen. Hintergrund ist der Kauf des Neumarktareals (“Ypso-Gebäude”) durch eine Tochtergesellschaft der Lindhorst Gruppe. Dabei fungiert Jürgen Lindhorst als Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender der Lindhorst-Gruppe. Der Firmenpatriarch ist in der Vergangenheit immer wieder negativ mit Verbindungen zur AfD und durch rechtspopulistische Äußerungen aufgefallen. Unter anderem das Anbringen eines Wehrmachtssymbols auf einem Findling an der Straße zur Gedenkstätte des Konzentrationslagers Bergen-Belsen sorgte in der Heimatstadt der Lindhorsts, Winsen, für Kritik, u.a. durch Prof. Dr. Jens-Christian Wagner, Direktor der Stiftung Gedenkstätten Buchenwald und Mittelbau-Dora.
Am Donnerstag, 07. Januar 2021, haben wir Prof. Dr. Wagner eingeladen auf einer öffentlichen Onlineveranstaltung mit uns über diesen Vorfall und über unsere Forderungen zu sprechen.
Zur Person:
Prof. Dr. Jens-Christian Wagner war u.a. Leiter der KZ-Gedenkstätte Mittelbau-Dora (Nordhausen) und Gesch.ftsführer der Stiftung niedersächsische Gedenkstätten und Leiter der Gedenkstätte Bergen-Belsen (Celle). Seit Oktober 2020 ist er Direktor der Stiftung Gedenkstätten Buchenwald und Mittelbau-Dora und Professor für Geschichte in Medien und Öffentlichkeit an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena.
